Taipei, March 26 (CNA) Tourism operators are expecting robust business at the upcoming International Spring Travel Fair in Taipei, based on what they see as a generally healthy travel market that is likely to continue to grow this year.

The annual travel fair March 28-31 is projected to attract some 200,000 visitors, and foster more business opportunities than last year, the organizers said. It will feature about 1,000 booths by 300 travel agencies, airlines and hotel operators, compared with 600 booths by 250 enterprises in 2013, said one of the promoters Yang Ching-yun.

"We are optimistic that the trade show would attract better attendance and generate more deals this time," Yang said.

The local tourism sector has been growing steadily in recent years, Yang said, adding that more diversified travel products are likely to be offered at this year's travel fair, The fair will be held at the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1. Admission is NT$180 (US$6) for adults.
