China Airlines (CAL) teams up with the Ambassador Hotel Taipei to roll out a Chinese New Year feast between January 30 and February 1 in celebration of the most important traditional holiday for Chinese around the world.

According to tradition, people need to eat auspicious Lunar New Year foods in the hopes of receiving some good luck at the beginning of the traditional Chinese calendar. To observe the tradition and to pamper the palates of the passengers, China Airlines will be presenting a number of delectable holiday dishes during the flight to bring a holiday mood to passengers flying 30,000 feet up in the sky.

The holiday special dishes include Mullet Roe in Egg Roll, which symbolizes fertility, Buddha Jumps over the Wall (Chinese-style jambalaya stew with rich ingredients), crispy shrimp balls seasoned with wine, which symbolizes wellness, and golden pumpkin pudding, which stands for richness.

The festive feast designed by celebrity chefs at Ambassador Hotel Taipei will be available for first-class passengers (routes to Hong Kong and Ryukyu not included) in the designated period.
