Araujo strike gives Peru's Juan Aurich first win

Peru's Juan Aurich earned its first win in this season's Copa Libertadores with a 1-0 victory over Bolivia's The Strongest on Thursday.

Javier Araujo scored the game's only goal in the 20th minute to give the Peruvian side its first victory in five matches in Group 1.

The victory moves Juan Aurich to three points after five matches, while The Strongest remain on seven points. Santos, the defending champion, leads the group with 10 points, with Internacional of Brazil on eight.

The final round of matches in Group 1 on April 19 pits Aurich against Internacional and Santos against The Strongest.

The top two teams in each of the eight groups advance to the second round of 16.
