Tickets for Taipei Universiade opening ceremony sold out

According to World University Games, tickets for the opening ceremony of Taipei Summer Universiade have sold out

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) -- All 12,000 tickets available since Aug. 19 had been sold out by July 14, said Lee Chang Hui (李昌輝) who is in charge of market development of the sports extravaganza.

The opening ceremony will take place at Taipei Stadium on Aug 19. Performers will include Taiwanese Martha Graham Dance Company performer PeiJu Chien-Pott (簡珮如), singer Leehom Wang (王力宏) and Cirque du Soleil dancer Billy Chang (張逸軍).

The closing ceremony will be held on Aug 30 and will include performers such as LaLa Hsu (徐佳螢) and aboriginal singer Jia Jia (家家). Ticket prices for closing ceremony range from NT$500 (US$16) to NT$2,000. While prices for individual events range from NT$200 to NT$300.

Ticket packages are also available for fans who want to attend different competitions of the same sport on multiple days, prices range from NT$500 to NT$1,600.

All Taipei Universiade tickets can be purchased at the Universiade official ticketing system and three convenience store chains (7-ELEVEN ibon, Hi-Life Life-ET and OK mart OK.Go)
