TAIPEI (Taiwan News) –With the coming of the firefly mating season, the Lianhuachi Research Center in Nantou County attracted many photographers to catch the fabulous scene of fireflies glowing in the sky.

Located near Sun Moon Lake, the Lianhuachi Research Center (蓮華池研究中心) is well-known for its "Lianhuachi Forest Firefly Trail." During the peak firefly season from April to May, visitors can spot glowing fireflies as they fly in the night sky. The best viewing time is 7-9 pm.

In order to protect the fireflies and preserve their habitat in a sustainable way, the Research Center reminds visitors not to use flashlights when watching the fireflies. For more information, please visit the Facebook page of the Lianhuachi Research Center.
