WASHINGTON (AP) -- The United States is condemning a deadly attack on Pakistan's busiest airport that killed more than a dozen people.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest says Americans' hearts go outs to the families of the victims and those who were wounded.
Gunmen disguised as police guards attacked a terminal at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. The Pakistani Taliban has claimed responsibility and is threatening more attacks. That has dampened hopes for a resumption of peace talks between the Pakistani Taliban and Pakistan's government.
Earnest says whether to reconcile with the Taliban is a strategic decision that Pakistan's government will have to make.
