Kowalczyk wins women's 10-kilometer classic race

Poland's World Cup points leader Justyna Kowalczyk won the World Cup 10-kilometer classic race in style, and is all but assured of becoming overall champion for the fourth time. She won the World Cup title three times in a row from 2009-11.
Kowalczyk finished the race in 25 minutes, 38.9 seconds. Marit Bjoergen of Norway was second with a time of 26:02.0, edging her teammates Heidi Weng (26:04.4) and Therese Johaug (26:07.1).
Kowalzcyk has a gap of 581 points at the top of the overall standings, 1678 to 1097 for Johaug in second place.
