Iran: no long-term foreign bases in Afghanistan

Iran's U.N. ambassador is calling for foreign forces to leave Afghanistan, saying their long term presence there only creates instability for his country and other neighboring nations.
Ambassador Mohammad Khazaee told the U.N. Security Council Monday that the recent case of a U.S. spy drone captured inside Iran is among the latest examples of how foreign bases inside Afghanistan are being used against other nearby countries.
Iran has displayed a pilotless American aircraft it says was forced to land two weeks ago during a mission over Iran. The U.S. says it went down because of a malfunction.
The RQ-170 was nicknamed "the Beast of Kandahar" because it was first spotted over Afghanistan.
